Czech Press Photo is a prestigious photography competition and subsequent exhibition of photographs. The selected collection of photographs provides a comprehensive overview and presents to the public the most significant events of the past year as seen by the best Czech photojournalists.
Authors capture images across the social spectrum, from news to art and portraits, to sports and nature. The aim of the competition is to provide independent and authentic visual testimony of life worldwide through the lens of Czech professional photographers.
Zdenek Jiricka’s photograph with a plough, the protagonist of the project and the major traveling exhibition “Feeling breathless” impressed the jury and made it into the selection in the “Everyday Life” category.
The photograph was exhibited as part of the Czech Press Photo 2023 competition at the National Museum in Prague.
